About update Acrobat Reader DC from 2018.011.20058 to 2019.008.20071

Hi,

 

I would like to update Acrobat Reader DC from 2018.011.20058 to 2019.008.20071

 

1) Download offline package (2019.008.20071)

2) Extract offline package - C:\AcroRdrDC.exe -nos_ne -nos_o"C:\builds\Extract"

3) Extract MSI with - msiexec /a C:\Extract\builds\AcroRead.msi

4) Use "C:\builds\Install" as extract path

5) Copy "AcroRdrDCUpd1900820071.msp" from C:\builds\Extract to C:\builds\Install

6) Also copy AcroRead.mst to C:\builds\Install

7) Open CMD, change path to C:\builds\Install

8) msiexec /p AcroRdrDCUpd1900820071.msp /a AcroRead.msi

9) Remove "AcroRdrDCUpd1900820071.msp" from "C:\builds\Install"

10) Copy "C:\builds\Install" to hchkmdt01

11) Modify GPO

 

With above procedures, is it correct to create package from deployment ?

 

Otherwise, it's failure to update, which part is incorrect ?

pdf is unable to open

pdf is unable to open after update installed to Adobe Acrobat pro 2017,

Always a dialogue box will appear and then need to select the programme.

Update fails. Newer Version can not be installed

I had adobe reader Dc 18 installed. I tried updating but failed to update. From the Advice in 'Trouble shooting installation' I uninstalled & tried to Download & install the latest version. But was unable to do so. It Installs & then states ' A Newer Version is Already Installed'. While I Do not have any installed.

Now I do Not even have My Older Version which was working very well!  I have windows 8.1 64 bit OS.

Update to 2019.008.20071 - Very Slow while Editing

Hi,

 

I often use the "Edit tools", and since yet it was ok, but after today (the day my Adobe self-actualizated) the file is extremely slow and often crashing.

 

Is it happening to anybody else? I really need PDF files and PDF edit tools to work, and now I'm needing it more than ever...

 

I am also trying to create a DMP File cause I read it in another post, but after creating it I don't know where it is (supposedly on "C:\Users\Bernardo\AppData\Local\Temp\AcroRd32.DMP", but I can't reach it)

Problemi installazione Adobe reader DC x W10

Non riesco ad installare correttamente Adobe reader dc nuova versione.

 

Dopo avere disinstallato la precedente, la procedura richiamata da internet parte regolarmente, scarica la app???.exe e parte la installazione.

Al termine si ferma con l'errore :"nuova versione già installata" (??). La installazione termina senza risultato.

Ho provato sia da Chrome (correttamente configurato) che da Edge. Stesso risultato .
Che fare?

Exit Search final message box with key?

Did the final Search message box used to allow <ESC> key to exit?   "Adobe Acrobat has finished searching the document.  No more matches were found."  I'm always hitting the <ESC> key because that's what I would do to exit the Search dialog prior to getting that final message.  Allowing <ESC> to exit the message box would make things easier for the user.  I'm pretty sure older versions of Acrobat Reader operated this way.  Please bring back <ESC> to exit the Search message box.

July Reader DC Update Introduces Frequent Crashing

We are seeing a large number (100+) of crashes in a customer environment that took the July 10th Acrobat Reader DC update (today). The crash is always an Access Violation thrown from your WM_GETMINMAX message handler on one of the background threads and the main UI thread is idle. We monitor the crashes in these environments very closely and did not see a single instance with this pattern until today's update.

Acrobat DC crashing when viewing PDF

Hi,

when i try to read a pdf file, Acrobat Reader DC (Version 2018.011.20040) is using ~2GB RAM and then crashes with internal errors, no data to show pictures, not enough memory and a few more. Opening the same pdf with latest Acrobat XI the file can be viewed normaly with ~300MB of RAM usage.

 

System:

Windows 10 x64 Pro

Core i7 - 5930K

32GB RAM

Acrobat DC - not working

Acrobat XI - wotking like a charm


Mac: The document could not be printed. There were no pages selected to print.

Hello,

 

I'm using the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader DC, with the latest version of the driver for the printer and I'm facing the same problem.

I did confirm that creating a new user with administrator privileges and trying to print from it didn't solve the problem.

Please help!

Currently there is no possibility to use Adobe Reader in Galician


Is there the possibility of collaborating in the translation of Adobe Reader into different languages?

I have not found any place for it and I would like to collaborate in the Galician translation.

I'm trying to install the Extended Asian font pack for Acrobat Reader DC version 19.008.20074.43139.

During the installation it says I need version 19.008.20071 or later. I'm pretty sure 20074 is greater than 20071.acrobat.PNG

Reader DC continues to prompt sign in (2019.008.20074)

I have several end-users who are experiencing this issue.  It wont allow them to open a file without getting prompted to sign in.  At times if it does allow them to cancel out, it prompts them to log in every time they open a new pdf.  This is creating a huge problem with our users as it is interfering with their workday.  Is there anyway to disable the signin prompt.

After the update, I have multiple file share websites that I pull info off of that I usually just print off of. Now i can't. The only way I can print the info I need is by downloading it first, then printing it out. This is a major problem. Are they going to fix this any time soon?

.pdf file icon appears as older Acrobat Reader version

I just got a new PC for work. I installed the latest Acrobat Reader DC version. Strangely, the icon of pdf files, whether they're stored on my machine, network drive, or in an email attachment, appear as the old Acrobat Reader icon, i.e. red graphic on white background, whereas Acrobat DC has black background icon.

 

I tried uninstalling and re-installing DC but it changed nothing.

 

Did anyone else experienced this, and how was it solved? In no way this affects how DC performs but it is just odd...

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

3DxAcr3d.api (3DConnexion 3D mouse driver plug-in) is not included in Acrobat Reader DC installations

When I upgraded from Acrobat Reader XI to Acrobat Reader DC, my 3DConnexion SpaceMouse Pro stopped working in Acrobat.

 

I found a post in the Adobe user forums (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/983893) that recommended the following for Photoshop CS6:

 

"3. Re: Can't get 3dconnexion to work with CS6

3dConnexion say they are not planning to start any development work on the CS6 drivers until AFTER the CS6 production release.

One slight workaround is to copy the 3dconnexion driver add-in from the CS5 folder and drop it into the CS6 plug-in folder."

 

I copied 3DxAcr3d.api from C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader\plug_ins to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\plug_ins, and the SpaceMouse Pro is now working properly for me in DC.

Hi,

 

I have a document with a link to open a phone app with tel:phonenumber.

Adobe Reader DC pops up with the standard window asking if I want to allow or block the access to the web site link (tel:...)
I click allow, Nothing appends, and the window pops up again each time, without opening the phone app.

It works with Adobe Reader Pro…
Any clue?

Windows 7 os

Google Chrome, Internet Exploer 11 and Firefox used and failed

Norton Security system, tried with it engaged and without engaged

 

Have deleted and run clean up tool to remove old Adobe Reader. New Reader won't install, saying I already have the newest version. I have no such program.  I have restarted the computer multiple times in between attempts. Deleted all cookies on the browsers. Deleted all types of any Adobe program.

PDF Comments Causing Printing to Cut off on the Left Margin

When I try to print a PDF that has comments on it and select "Summarize comments" it cuts the PDF off on the left hand side so you can't read it.

It didn't do this before and has only done it since the update.

 

Another "Adobe Reader is already used in another browse window." issue

Hi Adobe Team,

we are getting this following issue, when SAP Users try to open a 2nd PDF File, after  the 1st one opened without a problem

"Adobe Reader is already used in another browse window."

 

Seems that this problem is a long runner without real answers from Adobes Sitem, besides the usuall BS of Update your Adobe.

Our Adobe Reader  is up-to-date and usually the Updates break most of the time more than they fix things.. just saying.

 

So could you please be so kind, to have a deeper look and provide an official statement if this is caused by SAP side or by your product & how to fix it (if so)
