why adobe readerXl not opening my file
have loaded adobe reader Xl to my PC ,running Wndows XP, trying to open Royal Bank credit card reward preferred, certificate of Insurance booklet, but It will not open the insurance booklet from the royal bank web site ....can anyone help....? what do I need to do, by the looks of it the adobe reader is not opening any forms....

Problems opening PDF;
Cannot open PDF attachments from e-mails; using Adobe Reader X1 version 11.0.6 on a Mac OSX 10.9.2; notification says -in part- '.could not open ....because it is either not supported ....or damaged..'; These items are Bills & Bank Statements which have always opened successfully in the past, why refuse now? Deleted the Adobe app and have just downloaded again with same results. Any suggestions? Please type slowly, I am over 80 and some things take a while to sink in;

Can't open or print pdfs
Please help. I am facing a deadline for work an have to find multiple references online. I want to save them to print or read later, or email them to my kindle. However, I can read them "live", but when i save them they cannot be opened later, iget the message "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired" I can save the same files to my daughters mac laptop, so it is not a problem with the source. I am working on a mac using mountain lion OS. Adobe reader is up to date. What is causing the problem, and how do I fix it quickly? NB I am not a techie, just want to get on with work ASAP.

Adobe reader 10.1.9 out of memory
My wife's mini notebook runs Windows 7 Starter. Now receiving Out of Memory error when attempting to open a PDF. I've shut down all extraneous programs in task manager, re-booted, doesn't help. Ideas? I'm thinking of adding ROM - is this likely to help?

What's the best Adobe Reader app for Kindle?
It appears to me that Adobe has not yet made a free downloadable Reader for Kindle that provides the same functionality as Adobe Reader XI. So the question becomes, is there a Reader App that can be bought that will provide that for the Kindle Fire HD? (8.9" size)

Pdf In preview on firefox and google chrome seem ok Download becomes Blank.
Pdf In preview on firefox and google chrome preview are fine so open in adobe reader the pdf becomes Blank.
So i installed the newest update of adobe reader 11. still comes up blank. I tried on to other computers the file seems ok.
Saved file from one computer onto a usb and tried opening on problem computer still apears blank.
So then I uninstalled adobe reader then a program on the computer what came with the pc opned the pdf fine so i restarted the computer installed 11 came up blank.
So i restarted computer again installed reader 10 comes up blank
Uninstalled re installed 11 again then created a guest account on the computer opned file still blank
So then I imporeted the file to adobe Paint shop pro it will all appear in there.

help adding page numbers
I have Adobe Reader XI and Adobe PDF pack. I am trying to add page numbers to PDF files but after watching different tutorials, I'm still unable to. It seems that after I click on "tools" that addtional options should come up on the left side of the screen but none do. I also don't see "customize" above the "tools" section on the left as is shown in the tutorials also. Am I unable to had page numbers with the programs I have? Help please!

File Attached in PDF Will Not Open
I'm trying to open a file attached in a PDF by clicking on it.
I'm getting a message that "This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action"...etc.
However, when I double-click on the exact same file from the Windows Explorer, it opens just fine. If I go to the Control Panel > Set Default Programs, I can see that the file type appears to be correctly associated, and I've reset it just to be sure. If I go to the Control Panel > Set Associations, everything looks fine there as well.
This is happening on Windows 8.1, Windows 7, and probably elsewhere ... with Reader and with Acrobat itself (v11.0.06 and others).
I'm looking for a fairly technical answer. I don't need help trouble-shooting a particular computer; I'm trying to figure out why this isn't working for attachments of our company's program on anyone's computer. We recently switched installers, and for some reason the new installer is not working with Adobe in this way. Can someone tell me what mechanism Adobe is using to determine how to handle double-click on an attachment? It's clear it's not using what the WIndows Explorer uses. I've tried manually editing the registry and adding an "Edit" verb, but that didn't accomplish anything.

Problems reading PDF. Microsoft Office interferes
When I try to open a PDF file my Office 2010 attempts to open it instead of Adobe reader. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Reader and also have uninstalled and reinstalled Office 2010. I am using Windows 7 and the latest version of Adobe Reader.
Update - I did a custom reinstall of Office with only Word and Excel installed and Adobe works fine so some individual program in Office is interfering with Adobe. May be a problem for Microsoft Office forum to address instead of Adobe.

Missing comments and markups (Mac)
I am using a macintosh (mac) version of Adobe Reader to make comments and markups. When I draw coloured, connected lines in particular, they do not show up in the saved file when opened with other PDF viewing software (Preview). I am worried about this for the submission of a final school project.

Adobe Reader XI crashes when using find (command F)
I have a Mac with intel 10.9 and Adobe crashes everytime I use find. I get the pinwheel loading symbol and then Adobe ALWAYS crashes. Is there a way I can fix this?

I don't want to buy acrobat for $139 or Pro for $199 !!!

How remove 'create PDF' panel in Reader in Windows 8
In Acrobat Reader on my new Windows 8 PC, although not in my tried and true Windows 7 PC, Acrobat Reader displays a panel to the right of the page providing options to Create PDF, Export PDF, etc. This panel takes up space, and none of its options are of use to me (all my PDFs are built by invoking Acrobat from Microsoft Word). How do I get rid of it?

The user does not have sufficient privileges to install Adobe Reader
On MacOS 10.9.2, won't let me upgrade or simply install fresh because it's telling me 'The user does not have sufficient privileges to install Adobe Reader' I'm the admin (and the only one) on this computer and EVERYTHING else upgrades or installs just fine. Only Adobe Reader. And it's constantly bugging me to upgrade. Is there a way to either shut off the bothersome annoying irritating YOU MUST UPGRADE NOW process (which is beyond stupid) or to get around this 'The user does not have sufficient privileges to install Adobe Reader' problem (which is also beyond stupid).
