Nearly every time I use the find/search function (Command F) on Adobe Reader 11.0.6 for Mac, the program freezes/crashes. I use this feature VERY often, so I really can't afford to lose it (or my unsaved annotations for that matter when the program freezes/crashes). Any help would be much appreciated!!

How to remove recent used files automatically
Hi,
I want to remove recent used files automatically in Adobe Reader 10. Is there an option like deleteing browse history in IE?
What i allready did:
1) Via EDIT > Preferences > Documents > Documents in recently used list : 1 (unfortunately value "0" is not a valid value)
2) In Regedit i delete every time this key : HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Adobe\\Acrobat Reader\\9.0\\AVGeneral\\cRecentFiles. But rather i want to delete the recent files without entering Regedit.
Is it perhaps possible to adjust something in Regedit so that this process start automatically after closing Adobe Reader?

Unable to print in Adobe Reader XI
I have Adobe Reader 11.0.06 installed on a Windows 7 SP1 64-bit machine and am unable to print PDF files from Adobe Reader.
When I try to print any PDF file from Adobe Reader I receive the following messages "Document cannot be printed" and "No pages were selected to print". This only started happening right after I renewed and updated AVG Internet Security 2014.
I already tried disabling AVG, Repairing Adobe Reader, Saving the file to the hard drive, Reinstalling the printer, updating Adobe Reader, and reinstalling Adobe Reader. The same error appears for every PDF file that you try to print from Adobe Reader so this issue is not isolated to one specific PDF file.
I even tried uninstalling AVG but the issue still occured even when AVG was completely uninstalled.
I was able to get it working by disabling Protected Mode but am unsure if that an actual solution. Is it safe to disable protected mode or is there another solution for this?

I can't open a document just has an x in upper left hand corner
I can not open a received document. All I get is a blank page with a small x in the upper left hand corner of the page. When I click on the x I get a blank blue page. Can you help me with this problem.

why is acrobat 11 so slow
I recently upgraded from acrobat 8 to XI. I find that XI is much slower opening files and switching between windows. The performance is so much worse that I am thinking of bagging it and going back to 8, except that there were fixes to some minor annoyances with the tools that I would not like to give up. Is there any way to speed this thing up? I am running windows 7 with 16 GB of ram and i7 3.4 ghz processor. The machine handles my cad programs just fine, but acrobat is really dogging it.

Por gentileza, alguém poderia ajudar-me, porque após ter reinstalado o windows 7, o mesmo não está conseguindo abrir os arquivos do aodbe, e preciso para let muitos textos.

I've downloaded the 30 day trial for Adobe Reader XI but am still redirected towards purchasing the product when attempting to convert a PDF to WORD document. Can anybody explain why that is?

Can't Set Adobe Reader XI as default in windows 8.1
I have followed every direction I could find and .pdf still opens in windows reader. I have 8.1 and am using Classic Shell if that makes a difference. Also firefox browser.
I made sure that Adobe is my default reader and that it opens .pdf in Adobe. In FF adobe is enabled. When I right click on a saved document and choose properties it says it opens with adobe reader. There is no option at the bottom to always do this (as I have seen in instructions). The only way I can get Adobe reader to work is save the document to the desktop and then open with reader then delete the document when done. This is a huge hassle for me. I just swithched from XP where everything was working great. So much for a new computer and windows 8.1

Adobe PDF Reader - Internet Explorer 11 ActiveX Control failing with unspecified error.
Hello, I am responsoible for our company's web applications. Part of this application displays PDF files embedded in the browser. Please read the summary of things I have already attempted before offering suggestions. I am posting here prior to raising the issue through CC for Teams support in hopes that someone is aware of a solution or workaround.
Recently, we have received a large number of support requests regarding PDFs no longer displaying in the browser window on Internet Explorer 11 despite current, up-to-date plugins being installed. I have duplicated this problem on several machines now. All are running Windows 7 Professional x64 with IE11, and all Microsoft and Adobe updates are current. I have limited access to test on other combinations of OS; however given the number of our customers who have called us, I am quite confident the issue is widespread.
When attempting to instance the ActiveX control, there is a non-specific error returned: "Error". The following code run in the console displays the message:

- I have tested using the latest version (11.06.70) of the plugin installed by either Acrobat XI or Adobe Reader XI. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not fix the issue.
- I have run the installation repair from the Help menu in both Reader and Acrobat to no avail.
- ActiveX filtering is not causing the issue. I have verified that it is disabled. The control is not blocked by user preference. I have verified that it is allowed to run on the site in my configuration.
- Internet Explorer Enhanced Protected Mode is not causing the issue. I have tested in multiple security zones and lowered all IE security settings to the absolute minimum.
- The instance count of AcroPDF.dll increments when trying to instance the control, so it is being called by IE; "Error" is being returned from the DLL not the OLE Automation Server.
- Other ActiveX controls can be instanced and run fine, including 32-bit only controls.
- I have tested the suggested registry change of setting "HCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\TabProcGrowth" (DWORD) to 1 to no effect.
