Notification when opening pdf: your last acrobat session ended abruptly

Does anyone know how to disable this notification that appears every time I open a pdf in adobe reader. Clicking restore doesn't even do anything so I'm not sure if it

even works.

Drop Downs Answers Disappearing in DC/Reader

I have created an exam with forms in it that we send out to different companies for them to answer.  Just recently after the update, we have noticed several people send back PDFs with the answer reset to the default option for all dropdown options.

 

The odd thing is that their answers will appear through a web browser or Dropbox preview, just not in the actual Adobe Reader/DC version, which seems very counter intuitive.  As soon as we download the pdf from Dropbox, the dropdown options resets itself to the default option.

 

Can someone give me a solution for this?  We are using this for 1,000's of students and it's becoming a pain with all the calls we have to answer because of it.

Why are dropdown selections reverting to default when the user clicks into a different field?

Hello all,

 

We use fillable PDF forms in our organization and we are running into a problem.

 

From Adobe Reader ONLY, when a user selects an item on a dropdown list and then clicks into another field, the dropdown select reverts to default value. There is no scripting or anything special about this dropdown, it's just basic text selection.There is also nothing conditional or special coding with any other field on the form. Very basic stuff. It's worth noting that this problem doesn't happen every time and doesn't happen with every user of Adobe Reader.

 

I tried changing the dropdowns to have the option Commit Selected Value Immediately checked and that didn't make a difference.

 

Any thoughts on how to work around this problem or resolve it? I might just change the drop down to check boxes if I have to but I don't want to do that if not necessary.

Middle click scroll speed

Hi,

As far as I can see there is no other thread that deals with this question...

When I am reading in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, I use middle click to scroll (i.e. I need to move my mouse up or down, instead of spinning the scroll wheel). However, if I move my mouse more than about 1 cm, the pages fly past in tremendous speed (at least 3-4 pages per second). Is it possible to reduce this sensitivity?

I have tried to reduce windows scroll sensitivity to minimum (1 line at a time), but it does not make a difference as far as I can see.

Suggestions?

 

I run Win 10, fully updated. Adobe Acrobat DC 19.012.20035.

Adobe Reader übernimmt Druckeinstellungen / Formate nicht

Hallo, wir haben beim Adobe Reader ein Problem. Dort werden die Druckeinstellungen nicht übernommen, wenn man z.B. 600x1600 einstellt, dann zeigt er ein ganz andere Größe an. Der Druck sieht dann natürlich auch ganz anders aus.

 

Ist das im Reader ein Problem bzw. Einstellung oder hat das vielleicht was mit dem Drucker-Treiber zu tun?

Reader active in Task manager, but not on screen

I've installed the latest version of Acrobat Reader, but after openening several documents its seems the reader starts a life of it's own...!

What happens:

- I click the Acrobat Readr icon onmy desktop (or Start menu);

- the cursor changes into the spinning blue circle;

- my screen does'nt change, Reader isn't shown.

 

When I open Task Manager I see two lines for Acrobat Reader and one for the update manager (@ background processes)

So the reader does start, but doesn't show itself.

 

This happened a few times. I tried a re-install of the reader twice, after re-install it works for a few times, and then all trouble starts again.

 

Any suggestions??

Hi Guys,

 

In the company where I work, there are .pdf files with more than 1000 comments, these files even running on a powerful machine with SSD is very slow to execute and edit.

Is there any way this problem is solved?

I cannot fill in or sign a document anymore. Getting error message. I logged out and logged back in, but the problem has not gone away.

Protected view crashing Acrobat when "enable all features"

Since the last patch APSB19-18to 2017.011.30142,

Users are experiencing a application unresponsive hang when opening dynamic forms created in Livecycle or Adobe Experience manager in protected view.

Internally we have protected view Enabled for all files

When the users click enable all features to load the dynamic content of the pdf then in Acrobat or Reader it will hang and require force close.

Saving the pdf locally and then trusting the content location will work for some of the forms but not all.

The only method that resolves all the form issues is to turn protected mode off.

is there any assistance you can offer to troubleshoot the issue?

 

All of the forms worked as expected in 2017.011.30138.

 

 

Cannot Open Any Document With Reader

Whenever I try to open a document, the cursor would change to the spinning circle for 2 seconds but the document never opens. So I uninstalled reader and installed the latest version. Still did not work. I tried to search for answers online and many of them said to uncheck the protected mode box in preferences. I can open the application but can't open any documents. So i opened Reader and clicked on preferences. The program did not respond for 5 seconds and it closed on its own. I also tried to repair it from the help tab. Finally I tried installing older versions like Reader X even that didn't solve the problem. I use Adobe Reader regularly and had no problems with it until today. What is my next option to try and fix this situation?

Is there a way to change the color used to highlight results when using control F to search within text? The system default doesn't stand out very well and I often have to hunt for it in small text.

Server not responding version 19 and higher

When upgrading to version 19 system goes to a complete crawl for our Remote Desktop Services (Terminal server) 2012R2 environment only (laptops and other servers do not have this problem).  Version 18 and prior works fine, but since moving past version 18 (AcroRdrDC1801120035_en_US in particular), we have been having problems with what seems to be the Security (Enhanced) capabilities.

 

I did uncheck use AppContainer but have not unchecked Enable Protected Mode at startup. I have not unchecked Enable Enhanced Security. Perhaps I need to do that for these, I just didn't want to take extra security risks by turning them off.   Going back to AcroRdrDC1801120035_en_US everything works fine still.

 

Anyone else having this problem and what does Adobe Support have to say about this?  They are sending me to this forum for assistance only, perhaps we will have to move to Adobe Pro. however with no need to edit PDF files the cost will be high with many users sharing this on the remote desktop environment (RDP).

I have Acrobat Reader DC which allows me to type on PDF template forms in certain areas on the form. It's not a "Fill & Sign". For the past two days, I've gotten a hand icon meaning "wait" every time I open a PDF form so I can't type on it.

Hi everyone,

 

I have a problem about the Document Cloud of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (free account). When I try to access to the Document Cloud appears the message that says that there is no internet connection, also if the computer is connected to internet. This happens only on my computer, while using for example my phone, the Document Cloud works normally.
