DC Reader Crashing on RDS Server

$

Most (not all) users receive "AcroRd32.exe - Application Error" as soon as they open Reader or try to open a PDF.  If I expand the details, I see "The Instruction at 0x6d559f7b referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read."

This has been happening for a couple of weeks now.  We have two RDS Session Hosts, both on 2012R2 Standard.  Once a user starts getting this problem, it doesn't matter which Session Host the user logs onto they get the same error.  Which makes me think it's something profile related.  I tried restoring both VM's back to before the problem started, it seems to work for an hour or so, then starts faulting again.  I've even tried restoring the VM then disabling the Adobe Update service before attaching the virtual switch but the same thing happens.

The users are using published Web Apps, but I also see the error when logged directly onto the server via the Hyper-V console.

This is what I see in Event Viewer.

As well as restoring the VM we have completely uninstalled, used the Adobe Cleaner Tool and reinstalled on both servers, but the problem persists.  Tried turning Protected Mode off, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Adobe Crashes when adding comments and printing issues

After the update our company has been having issues with printing and adding comments.  Current version 2019.008.20074

What happens is when you open a PDF and you click on comments and simply try to add a text box to put a note in, adobe immediatly crashes.  You Get program not responding and then Adobe closes.  This has been working for months and now it spans accross several PC's and multiple offices.  Doing a repair to the installation doesn't fix the issue.  Doing a complete re-install doesn't fix the issue either.  The only fix so far is to rollback to Adobe Reader XI.  This is not a pheasable solution and there has to be some sort of fix for this.  Some cases you cannot even click on the text box because it is greyed out.

One of the other issues is the print function doesn't work either.  When you click the print icon nothing happens, however if you go to file>Print then that will work.  This is becomming a big issue and would appreciate any assistance in getting this resolved.

Now in English: Hello, I would like to be able to open my different .pdf files from a command prompt or in another way that you would suggest to me not to pass necessarily by Opening of Acrobat Reader, Opening of the file. The optimal way would be to allow me to pin my file directly on the bottom bar (Windows 10)

Issues opening multiple PDF's

Hello,

We recently updated our machines to Adobe Reader DC 19.08.20081

Simultaneously we updated Windows 10 to 1803.

After these updates we have discovered an issue opening more than one PDF at a time.

Users can open the first PDF normally. Once the reader is open, however a second PDF cannot be opened by clicking on the PDF. Double clicking will add the PDF the to recent files in Windows, but it does not create a new tab or window in Adobe Reader.

What does work: A user can open a subsequent PDF in the File>Open menu, by going to the Home tab and double clicking on a PDF in the recent files, or by dragging a PDF file into the reader.

I have also discovered that by disabling Protected Mode it will work normally, however we would rather not disable this.

I added the location of the files to the Privileged locations, but this also does not allow the files to open correctly. All the workarounds continue to work.

We tested this version of Adobe in a previous version of Windows and did not have the issue, so it seems to be something in Windows that Adobe is not playing nicely with. We confirmed this by testing a previous version of Adobe on a device with Windows 10 1803 and could duplicate the issue. So it's definitely something in 1803 that is breaking Adobe Reader.

Any assistance resolving this would be appreciated.

Reader DC Constant Crash

I'm experiencing a crash after 15 seconds whenever Reader DC (version 2019.010.20064) is opened - whether it's by opening a PDF file, or opening reader from the start menu or desktop shortcut. No error message is given - it just closes. I can scroll through an open document, but after exactly 15 seconds the program crashes.

Attempted updates - it's updated and same problem.

Attempted reinstall - successfully removed, restarted and reinstalled. Same problem.

Attempted registry fixes as suggested by others - didn't work.

Attempted compatibility fixes - none fixed problem.

Attempted deleting temporary files as suggested by others - didn't work.

Windows 10 and MS Office 365 are present - all updated.

This happened back in October and I was able to fix it based on solution from a google search - but I didn't save it and can't find the solution. I know, I should have seen this coming.

I know there's a conflict happening somewhere - i just don't know where or how to identify/fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Stand alone reader --

I need to read/print PDF files from the internet from a work computer (shame on me) -- Windows 7 Imbedded -- for which I have no Admin rights.

Is there a stand-alone reader that requires no installation process? Perhaps an "exe"?

I'm using Mac and I want to use dictionary app in the Reader as well.

I tapped the track pad in three fingers, but it doesn't work.

I would like to know how to change the setting to adjust the dictionary app in the Reader.

Acrobat opens on its own

I have Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2017 Release Version 2017.009.20044 on a Windows 7 computer.  Every day or every other day I notice that Acrobat starts to open all by itself usually while I'm entering data into an Excel spreadsheet or something.  This does not happen on start up but what appears to me to be at random times throughout the day.  And twice it tried to open with a window that asked if it was OK for Adobe to make changes to my computer.  This was strange as I was doing nothing with PDFs, Adobe, Acrobat, or any other thing that is even remotely connected to Adobe in any way.  Is there any way I can stop this from happening?

Every time I've made markings in a document, adobe reader does not work after a few minutes. After restarting the program, the same thing happens again. This is since the last update.
