I look at blue prints on this program

I take one  screen shot  to print & then it won't let me do it again unless I shut the program down & go back in.

I have uninstalled the program & reinstalled it several times & same thing happens. I have also tried to repair it with the repair function to no avail.

Help please.

pdf display in IE8 in Windows Kiosk mode

We have a .NET application that displays pdfs embedded in the UI when running in Windows Kiosk mode under IE6/XP/2003 server. When we move the application to IE8/Win7 running on the same 2003 server (in Kiosk mode) it opens in a new window and can't seem to get it to display in the application as before. Anybody know how to get this back to displaying in the application.

Thanks!

Installing Older Version of Acrobat Reader

I have tried Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and am not happy with the user interface and functionality. I would like to reinstall the older version. Adobe's web site indicates that installing the older version is possible, but whenever I proceed with the download it defaults to Acrobat Reader DC. How can I find and install the older version? Thanks.

adobe comments and scrolling

Since the latest update whenever I try to comment, it automatically selects the first penstroke I've made. For example, if I write 25, it automatically selects the 2 and puts a blue box around it. Can I get it to stop doing this? I'm tired of having to click "undo" or "deselect all."

Also, am I able to change the settings so it allows me to "enable scrolling" all the time or do I have to click this every time I open a new document?

Thanks!

OCR returns messy code

Hi, I am using Adobe Acrobat to OCR a pdf file. But after the OCR operation, what returned are just messy codes rather than normal English text.

This is a screenshot of the pdf file. From the shadow besides letters I can infer that it is an image (right?).

Untitled1.png

But this is what OCR returns:

Untitled2.png

This is a page of the pdf I am working on (I don't know how to attach a file with a question, so I have to use DropBox): Dropbox - Pages from Ray Tracing From The Ground Up - Copy.pdf

So how to fix it? Thank you for your help.

Adobe PDF Viewing - Internet Explorer

Good afternoon,

Since the Adobe update, last Thursday, we have been unable to view PDF documents in Internet Explorer or other application that use Adobe Reader.

Internet Explorer just crashes, as do the other programs. This doesn't seem to be affecting Windows 10 machines. When disabling the Adobe PDF Viewer it does not crash out Internet Explorer as it opens the PDF in the Reader applications, which leads me to believe that this is an issue with the PDF viewer  Add-on.

It works fine in Chrome but this is not our default application as it is not compatible with other programs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks

I have a few users who cannot open certain pdfs with out it being gibberish, they can how ever open pdfs form other senders and the appear fine. I can open the pdfs that appear in gibberish for the user, and the pdf looks normal. I uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe reader and it worked for a little and now the user sees gibberish again. I am not sure what is changing in between that Adobe needs to keep being uninstalled.

How do I turn off the TOOLS PANE on the right side of the pdf document and keep it off?

I have Adobe Reader DC Version 15.007.20033.2203.  Every time I open a PDF file I get a Tools Pane on the right side of the document.  I don't want that.  I can turn the Tools Pane off by selecting View/Show-Hide and uncheck the Tools Pane.  But the next PDF file I open, I get the Tools Pane again.

How do I hide the Tools Pane all the time?

Autocomplete still working after disabling in preferences

Autocomplete is giving my users two headaches after the latest update. We are on version 2019.010.20064.

The first issue is that autocomplete is resizing the zoom level of the document (sometimes to as small as 5%) making it impossible to see what is being typed.

To fix this, I would like to disable autocomplete altogether. However, when I disable it in preferences, nothing actually changes, autocomplete still functions as normal and even continues to add data to its list!

Is this a bug or is there another way to disable autocomplete? Better yet, is there a way to stop autocomplete from resizing the view of the document?

Thank you!

Adobe DC Opening Two Tabs in IE

Good Afternoon,

We are currently using Topaz Signature Pads for a digital signature that is submitted electronically. We have to use IE to sign and submit the documents in our environment, as chrome does not support this feature.

Since the most recent update, 19.010.20064, Adobe PDF documents open in two tabs and when you try to submit the document after it is signed we get an error. I believe this is due to the two tabs being opened.

We have one workstation, which has not received the update and it working fine. Any workstation that has update 19.010.20064 isn't working, however any workstation on 19.008.20081 is working fine.

Unable to Sign with a Certificate after Upgrade to DC v2019.008.20071

Hello,

Up until we upgraded to the latest Adobe Reader DC, I was able to sign documents with a certificate.  Since the update, no matter what I have tried the "Sign" button remains greyed out and can no longer be used.

I have tried uninstalling, deleting all Adobe program and AppData folders, re-installing, deleting certificates and signatures, and recreating a new certificate.  It sill will not allow me to sign - I have verified I am using the correct password for the certificate that was created.  I have tried it with and without the "Lock document after signing" options.  I have tried the Review option, but it says there are no issues.

Optimizing a scanned document gets messy with OCR

$

Hello,

I have got some music scores scanned with tablet, using the app "Office Lens" and then edited with Acrobat Pro DC. When I try to use tool "Optimize acquisition", in order to remove background and reduce the size of PDF, at the end of optimization text recognized by Adobe - even if I never required to do so - appears and it is not completely overlap to the original PDF indications. This results in a messy, unreadable presence of texts all long the document.

Where do I get wrong? If everything is correct and this problem cannot be solved, I would like to understand if it is possible to disable OCR at allo, so that the scanned document would be treated completely as Image PDF.

Thanks for support.

Standard e-mail konto

Acrobat Reader Fil version: 2019.010.20064
