Cannot open Reader application

Windows cannot find'C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroRd32.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

Windows 10.

I have uninstalled, reinstalled, removed Security and tried all again.  I get a shortcut but no program installed.  Can save files in pdf but can't read or open the Reader.

Assistance please.


Not able to open some PDF in adobe Acrobat Reader

We are uploading PDF on server by our application and download it from server.

Now issue is downloaded file is not opened in adobe reader, same file is opened in Foxit reader.

we are getting message:Screenshot - 10-Nov-17 , 6_45_17 PM.png

An error exist on this page, Acrobat may not display the page correctly. Please contact to person who created the PDF document to correct the problem.

 

Please look into this on urgent basis.

PDF signature photo is awful

Just within the past two days I now have to use an upgraded version of PDF that is forcing me to create a new signature. When I take and use a new photo of my signature, it looks terrible on the document, including a shaded area behind my name. In the previous version of PDF all I had to do was click on the drop down and select my signature which had a transparent background and looked great on the document. What happened????

Quadratino nero al posto della freccia

Da qualche giorno aprendo  files pdf compare al posto della freccia puntatore un quadratino nero.

Ho trovato una risposta che suggerisce di cancellare IconccacheAcro.dat oppure Iconcacherdr.dat dalla cartella appData, ma nessun file del genere compare.

 

Potete darmi altre soluzioni ? Grazie.

Unable to open PDF's created in Visio

I have a user that is unable to open any PDF's he generates in Visio.  He is able to open them with other PDF viewers or Google Chrome, but Reader does not seem to work now.  When he is able to open them in Reader, they are blank and have an error message about there being a problem with the PDF, but no other viewing programs act this way.  It doesn't look like it's a Visio problem, but does look like an Adobe Reader problem.

Hi,

 

When I first started to use Adobe Acrobat Reader, I could click once on the highlighter logo and then highlight as much text as I wanted. Now, I cannot anymore. If I want to highlight something, I must click on the logo, highlight the thing, and then click again to highlight another thing, and then click again... It's really annoying to have to click every single time. Is there any way to come back to the first setting which allowed me to highlight for as long as I wanted without having to click back again to the highlighter logo each time?

Does anyone tell me what this error code stands for and the way to solve this problem.

pencil woes

When I use the pencil tool in Reader, I cannot draw with it; rather, it just makes dots. (When I use Acrobat, however, I am able to draw with the pencil.)

 

How do I fix this? I'm trying to show students how to use the pencil tool, and making only dots with it isn't useful.


Can't select block of text

I have updated to Adobe Acrobat DC and can no longer select blocks of text in pdfs. I have the select tool active, I am trying to select a whole sentence to highlight. I am using a pdf in which I have previously been able to perform this function. I am trying to place the curser at beginning of sentence and drag to the end of the sentence to select whole sentence before I highlight it.  I can no longer do this WHY? It's driving me mad.

classic Reader vs. DC

Long-time user of classic Reader (on Windows 7).  Today, Reader DC was... offered? pushed? (depends on your view of aggressive marketing, but I digress ) ... I didn't realize it was a product upgrade as opposed to a version update.  I don't particularly like it; uses too much "real estate" and feels like overkill for my needs.

 

Why did it *replace* my classic Reader executable, rather than do a side-by-side install?

 

Why should I consider keeping it, and how do I go back to classic Reader if I want to?

No Printing from Adobe Reader and Pro DC to an HP Printer through Mac

For three weeks I have been trying to get a solution to a nagging Adobe printing problem. I keep getting the run-aroiund with Adobe suppoirt staff and links so I'll try one more time. I have not been able to print s pdf document from my Adobe Reader or Pro DC to my HP Officejet printer. I sue a Mac Pro with OS 10.13.1. I erased Reader and Pro DC and reinstalled them to no avail. I reinstalled OS 10.13.1 to no avail. I reinstalled the HP driver and printing protocol to no avail. I contacted Mac Support staff and they were not able to assist me after running several "maintenance programs." I contacted HP and talked with three techies and finally was able to get a small but awkward solution (In Chrome I Open the file and print from it). I use Firefox. I have three Mac laptops and the Adobe problem exists on all three of them. Both the Mac and HP techies claim it is an Adobe problem ad they should fi=x or address it.

So is there a solution to this Adobe problem?Acrobat Reader !

After Adobe Reader upgrade (2015.020.20039) i cannot attach pdf as e-mail in Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to Outlook 2013 Home and Business.

"Error message - the messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists restart Outlook. There encountered an OLE-registration error. The program isn't installed correct. Run the installation program again "

 

It attach the pdf file, but come with this error when i press the send bottom in Outlook.

 

When I attach directly from outlook it works fine.

Hi,

 

I already seen several similar posts, but i was not able to find any post that contain error 10:10.

 

So, sometimes (not always) I am getting error:

 

There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again. (10:10)

 

After error I have to close and restart IE.

 

What could be the cause of the problem?

Adobe Reader closes when using print pooling

Hello all,

 

My question is in relation to this thread:
Reader closing when printing to Equitrac e-queue port

yet until now this thread has been left unanswered.

 

I have connected my printer driver as a client on a clustered server(WSFC) set-up with Windows Server 2008 R2 OS. There are multiple ports set-up on my printer driver that is using the Windows printer pooling. My problem is that every time a print PDF file from Acrobat Reader DC(version 2018.009.200 50), Acrobat Reader DC closes without any warning. The crash is not logged on the event viewer. I have noticed that this problem only occurs when I select a certain number of ports. If I select only a few number of ports, the issue does not occur and printing is done successfully(similar as to what was reported in the thread above). Btw, Acrobat Reader DC is running with protected mode on. If I try to run AcrobatReader DC with protected mode off, Acrobat Reader DC crashes and the crash is logged onto the Event Viewer. It logs the following:

kann mir jemand helfen? Wenn ich ein PDF öffnen will, wird dieses mir nicht richtig angezeigt.

Ich hänge einen Screenshot an, wie das ganze aussieht, wenn ich das Fenster in den Vordergrund ziehe. Es wird mir nur der Titel des PDFs angezeigt und ein kleiner blauer Balken...

This came to me via email to be filled in and returned. 1) the box that persists and says to wait for the form to complete (got advice and got rid of it); 2) the form will not allow me to sign as the icon is grey and I can't change it; 3) it will not accept the completed form to return in an email although I have upgraded as prompted. This is my will, rather important and I'm really fed up with the form.

 

I would really appreciate advice to get this properly handled and off my desk.

 

I have a MacBook Pro, running Yosemite 10.10. and MS Mail.

Nessus Vulnerability Scanner incorrectly flags v 2015.006.30355 as vulnerable

Nessus Vulnerability Scanner is still detecting version 2015.006.30352 although version 2015.006.30355 is installed.  This appears to be because the acrord32.dll was not updated in the 30355 patch, but the way Nessus determines the version is by the version on that DLL.

 

I have reported this as a false positive to my IA team, but was asked to report his issue to Adobe.

Document cannot be printed, No Pages Selected to Print, Drawing Error

Good Morning/Noon/Night All,

 

I work in an office for their IT department and one of our users who always prints and works with PDFs is having multiple errors when printer a PDF via Adobe Reader, I cannot for the life of me find the answer or figure it out. So about a week ago I get a call from the users and they reported that whenever they print PDF Files they received 3 errors:

 

1. Document Cannot Be Printed

2. No Pages Selected to Print

3. Drawing Error

 

Now before I decided to take the step and just post about this error, I tried searching this under the support topics yet nothing seems to have a legitimate answer or solution that works, I tried the following and still nothing worked:

 

Solution 1 - DID NOT WORK

Open the PDF file in any program that can save PDFs. (preferred would be Adobe Acrobat Pro) Then select File > Save As > from the menu. Now look at the dropdown menu below the world filename. Select the type PDF/A.

 

Solution 2 - DID NOT WORK

Open the PDF file in Adobe Reader and when you go to print Click advanced at the bottom of the Print Dialog box. In the next Dialog Box select Print As Image and click OK.

 

Solution 3 - DID NOT WORK

Open the Adobe Reader and on the menu select Edit > Preferences > General. Then select the Security (Enhanced) category. Now deselect the setting: Enable Protected Mode at Startup” and restart the application. If that still does not solve the problem, try setting Protection View to Off.

 

After trying these I said to myself, maybe the PDF is corrupt so I had the user send it over to me, and I was able to print to the same exact printer he was sending it to with out any errors. I also tried to uninstall and reinstall the program Adobe, I tried deleting the %appdata% folders, I Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer drivers on his computer. 

 

The only work around that seems to work is to convert the file to a word document and print it, please do not tell me this is the only resolution for this issue as I am not looking for a work around. I need to find an actual resolution for this user. Thank you for your time!
