Adobe Stays open after quick print

Good Afternoon,

 

we have a user who is having a minor but very annoying issue. The user uses Outlook all day receiving invoices etc. The user has had the issue now where when they right click and quick print on a PDF attachment. Adobe reader stays open and they have to manually close it to be able to open the next one.

 

This is the only user out of about 175 users who is having the issue and has been having it for sometime. The users operate on a windows 2012 r2 RDP environment. I have scoured but unable to find a solution to this other than to do a register change which if possible I want to avoid. any help would be very much appreciated, as this is rather frustrating for the user.

Embedded Reader crashes third party application after idle time

Hello,

 

we use a document management system, which uses Adobe Reader 11.0.13 in an embedded view. That works fine. After some time of inactivity (30-90 mins) in the DMS, the application crashes (see error logs below). We use Citrix Published Desktops with XenApp 6.5 and Windows Server 2008 R2. The latest Adobe Reader DC did not help to prevent the issue.

I spent 12 hours working on a document on my Mac on Friday,then the mouse started spinning and the program was updated without saving my work! Does anyone know if it is possible to recover the document changes?

How do I remove Adobe Reader DC splash screen "Say Hello to easy file access, Add Comments Fill and sign, Activate more tools, Go Mobile"

We have Adobe Reader DC 15.20.2039  If it is opened the very first time the large white splash screen which you can either click through or hit X to not see again opens in the middle of the screen.   You know, the screen that starts with "Say Hello to easy file access, then add documents and so on"

 

Our users in this University do not want to see that splash screen.  Yes I know once it's clicked through the first time, you don't see it again.  However, several departments have profiles that refresh so once the computer is restarted, clicking on a PDF document is always like the first time.

 

I have used the Customization Wizard.  I have added several items in registry.   I can't get this initial thing to stop.   I do not want it displayed ever.   How can I stop it from showing upon launch? 

 

We want this to be automated for all of our deployments.

I have been charged on two of my credit cards for one service on the Acrobat Reader. I have called you guys and wait on hold for hours!!! once connected the person on the phone doesn't understand what I am saying then hangs up. I really need you to remove one of my credit card from your account and stop charging me twice for one service. This double payment have happened since October.

Unable to open files from and to browse to mapped networkshares

Hi,

 

I installed Acrobat reader DC on a sereval Terminalservers (win2012R2)

I can open every PDF file from the internet and from my mail client

However saved PDF documents wich I want to open from a mapped network share givs the error "Unable to open. Document not found"

When I want to open a file in the Adobe reader applicatien and want to browse to a specific file I only see mine local drives and not the mapped network shares.

 

Anyone a solution for this problem?

not a valid pdf document

My accounting program sage sends a pdf document of a direct deposit form every week to the employees. The Sonim cell phones (android based) can not open up the document. It says this "Error. the document cannot be opened because it is not a valid PDF document." I have the adobe reader on the phone.  I can open up this document on my computer through my email no problem. Once I open it up on my computer and forward to my email on my phone it can be opened but not directly from my accounting program to my email. The file size on my email on the computer is 7.5 KB  but  the file size on my phone says 48 B PDF. What does this mean and why can't I open it?

Failure to print from Adobe Acrobat Reader

I tried to print a PDF document from the Adobe Acrobat Reader.  It goes through the process, but the printer does not respond or print.

I am able to print a test page and PDF files from Windows.

I have previously been able to print from Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I received a new machine and now when I get an email with a pdf attachment I have to save it first before I can open it.  How can I fix that?  Thanks

Preview Pane prevents deletion on network PDF's

Hi,

All versions of Adobe with Windows 10 (DC, 11, 10, 9) when having the preview pane enabled prevents deletion because it is being used by explorer/preview host. This only happens on network files and not on local files. We know we can workaround by disabling preview pane, but we cannot expect our users to have to do that for every file they need to delete. Is there a solution to this issue?

We have tried repair, reinstall, different machine. They are all the same. Is it possibly a Windows update that has caused this issue?

Accidentally deleted the language package

Hi,

 

In trying to clear some space on my Mac, I was advised to go through my applications and clear out the languages that I never needed to use on them. Stupidly, I've accidentally deleted the English one from my Adobe Acrobat Reader application and I'm now seeing everything in Ukrainian (I think!). I've since cleared my trash (before realising what I'd done) and can't seem to work out how to get it back 1) because deleting the app to reinstall it doesn't seem to work and 2) because I can't understand anything in the preferences to try and start looking on there.

 

Is there any way I can redownload the English pack into the app? Or any way of just starting again? When I try to redownload it, I get the message that there is a higher version in the installation location, even when I've deleted it. I'm very confused!!

 

Any help would be perfect!
