Signing in Adobe Reader XI using Sign with Certificate greyed out
We have recently rolled out Adobe Reader XI , we internally use a Microsoft certificate server integrated with Adobe Acrobat for Digitally signing pdf documents using digital certificates , this works on Adobe Acrobat Standard for XI,
however though it seems that Adobe reader has the options under Sign > "work with Certificates" but the entire Menu shows greyed out. Are there any settings that need to be enabled to make this functional ?
How to Stop Reader DC from Opening in Maximized View Every Time, for Every PDF File?
I just upgraded to Acrobat Reader DC the other day. Now, every PDF file I open, from any source, in any manner, opens with the reader in "maximized" view. This is just about the most irritating thing I have ever encountered, as Adobe provides no obvious way for this to be turned off. The older reader did NOT do this.
Is Adobe being a "bully" with hogging my screen space? or is there a way to set this so the Reader opens in a "normal" view: not maximized and not minimized, every time?
I have tried all the obvious settings, such as: Open to "last saved" view" setting; Every option under Preferences... Nothing seems to work!
Please help... this is driving me nuts. I have other windows I use.
Thank you.
the file exists but I can not access it?
I have tried everything I know how. It says source file not found

Reducing File Size
LARGE PDF FILE SIZES.
I have a contact who uses Adobe Acrobat with a Imac and a Mac AirBook where via the 'Save as or preview' option gives her a choice of 'Reduce File Size'.
Using a PC and Acrobat DC, can you reduce a large pdf file you have received without losing any quality. I cannot seem to find this option on my PC, perhaps this is something just for Apple computers?
Thank you
No Access to Document Cloud from Reader DC

When my pdfs open, the windows extend outside my computer screen
My pdf windows with parts outside the screen, so like I can't see the minimise, maximise, close tabs; I also can't see the File, Edit, View, Window.... tabs. I can still access the tabs with the keyboard but I would like the window to open so I don't have to resize the windows all the time. I tried looking through the options in edit>perferences but can't find the related option. Is there a way make it so that the windows open inside the screen?

Printing issue
Cannot print from Reader DC. Unable to change selection from 'All' to 'current page' etc. Solution mentioned is to go to Advanced Tab and 'print as image'. This choice is greyed out and unavailable.
How do I get Adobe Acrobat Reader X to work again on Window Vista?
Recently my Acrobat Reader x 10.1.? stopped working. I uninstalled and reloaded version 10.1.14 from Adobe, then updated it 10.1.16. Same problem with all versions. Windows indicates it failed, and closes immediately upon trying to open. Whether clicking on PDF file or just opening Reader from Start menu. same result. Tried using "change" in Uninstall too.
Nothing works.
Adobe Reader XI Updating Issues
I have been using Adobe Reader version 11.0.10 all year without any issues except the "all year" part: Updater hasn't been working either automatically or manually, since it told me "no updates available" whereas the release notes page shows that three subsequent quarterly updates have been released. Is there a known explanation for that?
Anyway, I have taken matters into my own hands by going to 11.0.13 Planned update, October 13, 2015 — Acrobat and Adobe Reader Release Notes and downloading a patch (the 44.9 MB non-MUI version of AdbeRdrUpd11013 - hope I have chosen correctly?) Successfully applied the patch and I'm still able to read PDF files, but there's one minor issue bugging me: Manage add-ons in Internet Explorer still reports my version as 11.0.10. I believe that is because the file AcroPDF.dll is still the 11.0.10 version (modified 12/3/2014) and was not replaced by the patch. Has there really been no revision to that file in the last three releases, or did the patch fail to apply correctly? And is there a direct link to an 11.0.13 full installer (the main download page only offers 11.0.10)?
I also have the very common issue of Firefox reporting an outdated plugin even though it recognizes the version as 11.0.13, but that doesn't trouble me. FWIW an answer to someone else's question at Firefox said the plugin checker now regards everything except Acrobat Reader DC as outdated, which seems to be the only reasonable explanation.
Thanks
Document could not be printed
Unable to print numerous different PDFs from a corporate website. Each file has similar header, images, length, appearance. Opening the files online I receive the message "Insufficient data for an image" but the images do appear after I scroll down a bit. They disappear if I scroll up again. Try to print and this message appears " Document could not be printed". I have tried saving and reopening in Reader 9.1, also printing to file and printing as an image. Nothing works. I think the two issues are connected. I have seen similar discussions on this and other forums but they seem to lead nowhere. Can anyone help please?
Converting document to word

Reader XI not working since updating to Windows 10
Have a PDF file I need to view but something is wrong with Adobe Reader. Tried uninstalling it per the control panel but received a message stating "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable"
Also downloaded Windows Installer Cleanup Program. Removed Reader XI and then downloaded Adobe Reader. During installation the process stopped and received a message stating "newer version already installed"
When I click on Adobe Reader DC from start up a message pops up stating "this action is only valid for products that are currently installed"
Tried viewing the file in Internet Explorer and received a pop-up stating "The Adobe/Acrobat Reader selected for viewing PDF documents in browsers cannot be found at its installed location; it may have been moved or deleted. Please reinstall or repair the application. (15:524)
I'm really confused and would really appreciate any help.
Thanks,
Adam
