Adobe Reader comes to the top when dragging object over it.
Is there any way to prevent the Adobe Reader from forcing itself to the top window when you drag something over it? If I drag a file from app A to app B and just happen to cross over the Adobe Reader, it brings itself to the top blocking all the other windows.This is very annoying.

How do I display two PDF documents side by side?
I just upgraded to Acrobat reader DC. I want to display two documents side by side so I can compare them and in this latest and greatest, better than sliced bread version I don't seem to be able to do this. WTF????

Reinstalling Adobe Reader
OK so I downloaded and installed the new reader a week or so ago and it appeared to be working fine until I went to add text to a document. It seemed to work fine yesterday when I had no issues but today was a different story. Today I went to add text to a different document although I have previously used the tools to add text on a document from the same source so I thought it should work, In any case I read that perhaps I should try to uninstall and then reinstall the Reader. The only problem now is that I can't reinstall the Reader. I don't have any problem downloading the file but it just seems to hang instead of installing and the instructions stop at this point. Hopefully someone will have some suggestion. I have tried using Chrome, Mozilla and Windows Edge all with the same result and I also turned off the firewall to see if this was the issue. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough but after 30 minutes I checked the task manager and it was showing nil cpu usage and the installation progress was still showing 0%.

Poor Scrolling Performance for Acrobat Reader DC on Win10
Hi all,
I recently experience very poor scrolling performance issues when using Acrobat reader dc to read some really simple pdf files. The PDFs are plain text, less than 50 pages for most documents. I am running the reader on a brand new laptop: Dell Inspiron 13 7000 2-in-1, 8GB RAM, i7-6500U (with intel HD 520 integrated graphic card), 500 GB SSHD, and Windows 10. All drivers up-to-date.
I am using this laptop purely for document works, so no fancy software installed to silently eat out memory in background, only Microsoft Office suite and Acrobat Reader DC. Everything runs smoothly and flawlessly, EXCEPT Acrobat Reader DC. First the scrolling is not very responsive, and then every time I scroll a little fast (it is actually NOT), the laggy feeling begins and sometimes with the software micro-freezes. Have tried re-installed the software but it didn't help. Using Windows Edge Browser to view PDFs is actually much more enjoyable than using Acrobat Reader, which is supposed to be much more powerful in dealing with PDF files.
Any solutions? Thanks

Adobe Acrobat / Adobe Reader incompatibility? How can a PDF file when opened with Adobe Reader be made to visually and functionally “look like” and “feel like” the same file when opened with Adobe Acrobat?
Here's the issue in a nutshell. Ignore the graphic and text quality which appears below. The images are simply screen shots of a mock-up example. The first image is a PDF file as it appears when opened with Adobe Acrobat. The second image is the same file as it appears when opened with Adobe Reader DC. Importantly, each text element is a URL link and they ought not to be obscured at any time:

Without success, I have struggled with preferences and security settings in Adobe Acrobat and with preferences in Adobe Reader to make the Adobe Reader screen “look like” the Adobe Acrobat screen.
Why the clutter? The top toolbar (“Home Tools … etc.) can be undesirable in its own right. But, it at least does not obscure any substantive content (i.e. URL links). The BLACK toolbar does obscure substantive content and is highly undesirable. Although the toolbar can be moved around to reveal content, various users with Adobe Reader will not know this. Also, although the toolbar will fade away to reveal content, it snaps back as soon the mouse cursor is moved within the window
Can the BLACK toolbar be suppressed? If so, how?

Why can't I see my taskbar with Adobe Reader DC?
I just updated from Adobe Reader 11 to Adobe Reader DC, and when I view a PDF in full-page view, I can no longer see my taskbar or close Adobe Reader DC without using the Start Menu in Windows 8.1. I would appreciate any suggestions to help me resolve this issue.

trying to download reader 10 after previous version disappeared or got uninstalled. Getting error msg that my computer has newer version. have searched c: drive and the only adobe reader files i can find are TMP files in programs (x86). should I try to delete these?
