This is an error report.
Since I cannot find an official address for error reporting I post this here.

Description:
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC is not able to open any .PDF file if the file path
contains a link (junction) to a volume that is no drive letter assigned to.

Test environment:
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (Version 2019.012.20034)
  Windows 10 (Enterprise and Pro)

Example:
Volume:         \\?\Volume{xxxxxxxx-0000-0000-0000-100000000000}\    (on a mounted VHD)
  File:               \docu\x1.pdf  (on volume \\?\Volume{xxxxxxxx-0000-0000-0000-100000000000}\)
Mountpoint:   D:\test\mp   (junction to volume \\?\Volume{xxxxxxxx-0000-0000-0000-100000000000}\)
  File path:       D:\test\mp\docu\x1.pdf
Results:         - If there is no drive letter assigned to volume \\?\Volume{xxxxxxxx-0000-0000-0000-100000000000}\
the file D:\test\mp\docu\x1.pdf cannot be opened.
                        - If there is any drive letter assigned to volume \\?\Volume{xxxxxxxx-0000-0000-0000-100000000000}\
(e.g. E:) the file D:\test\mp\docu\x1.pdf can be opened.

Comments:
I have been using these scenarions for years and I have never noticed any problems
  with any other applications.
I cannot say witch version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC introduced this bug.

Kind regards

Konrad
