Searching the web does not produce any examples that I can make work.
Having to press Ctrl-H after opening every document is irritating.
How can Adobe Acrobat XI Pro be configured to open all documents in Reader Mode automatically?
Thank you

We re experiencing memory leaks on our physical and virtual machines after installing Reader DC. Is anyone else having the same issue and if so what have you done to resolve it. Thanks in advance.
Thanks,

Hi is there any option to set to opening another pdf document (1 is opened and i opening another one) in new window instead of opening in new tab in same window?
i have been editing a pdf for months and it randomly has stopped letting me edit and opens up the subscription page online?
Well, this question has been on for a long time but everyone seems to ignore it, so I'll just give it another shot.
I get this error when trying to copy something.
Most of the time, if i ignore the error I can still find it in the clipboard.
Sometimes I'm lucky and it doesn't happen (using the same document), so this clears that it has no copyright protection.
Yesterday I worked all day on a document with no problems, but today I'm losing a lot of time dealing with the problem and trying to fix it. (hope this clears that I have all software up to date and no plugins missing)
The thing is that I often work on asian character texts and ignoring the error does no good because all I have left in the clipboard is junk data (an example of copied text: ‘¾—zŒõ”“dƒVƒXƒeƒ€‚ÌLCA)
If I try to copy again, sometimes it works (I have to try from 3 up to more than 15 times though), but I will get the error when I try copying the next word.
I really doubt there's an instant solution for this, so all I'm asking is for you to stop ignoring this issue and try to release an update with a fix for this before people start switching to other programs.
Pretty please??
Thank you
P.S.
As you can see, no answer

Both are most current versions:
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Continuous Release Version 2018.009.20050
MS Outlook 2016 Version 1708 (Build 8431.2153 Click-to-Run) Semi-annual Channel (All add-ins are disabled)
I have a PDF open in Reader
I click the email icon (Send File)
I click Continue on the Send Using Default email application (Microsoft Outlook) popup
Outlook opens an email with the PDF attached
I enter a valid email address and message body
I click attach File in Outlook and select an additional PDF to be attached (file size is correctly listed)
I click send
The recipients will be able to open the original PDF but not the PDF that was added manually.
Error message when opening the additionally added PDF:
"Adobe Acrobat Reader could not open 'XXXX.pdf' because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an attachment and wasn't correctly decoded)."
If I look in my sent folder at the email, the corrupt attachment will have an incorrect file size of 4kb and will give me the same error listed above when I try to open it.
If I just create a new email in Outlook and attach the two PDFs they are sent and received with no corruption.
Anybody have a fix for this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Hi,
When I go to print from Adobe Reader, the print dialog box is big to where I need to move it to click print. The resolution of my laptop is 1920 X 1080. I tried changing some settings in prefrences, but they only changed the zoom of the document. Any ideas would be extremely helpful. Thanks.
I'm hoping that someone might have run into this, as I have been investigating an issue at work for a few weeks now. The issue is spreading as we're moving to a Win 10 environment and we're starting to get heat from the users, especially some VPs.
Basically, if a PDF is opened in IE, once the tab or the entire browser is closed, IE throws up a "Internet Explorer has stopped working message." This is especially troublesome, as we have various web apps that need to open the PDFs in the browser and not in a separate Acrobat instance (I have a workaround to do that, but it's not my decision). Chrome, Edge, and Firefox do not have the issue; but IE is the standard browser (again, company policy).

(I should have some more dumps on my lab computer that I have been debugging with - I'm just not on it right now).
We're experiencing this across the board on our laptops, tablets, and desktops; I can reproduce it with ease, even on freshly imaged PCs (which don't have much more on them beyond Office and Symantec). Some notes about the systems:
-As you can see above, IE is version 11.0.16299.15.
-It happens on Win 10 ver 1703 and 1709.
-Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and Reader XI and Acrobat DC are affected. Acrobat Pro X and Reader X do not have the issue. (I have reimaged multiple PCs and tried various apps.)
Things that have been tried:
-Installing the latest updates.
-Disabled Enhanced Protected Mode in IE
-Unchecked all the options in Adobe Preferences->Internet ("allow fast web view," etc.)
-Turned Protected View off in Security (enhanced) and disabled "Enabled Enhanced Security".
-Removed all the Symantec products
-Reset IE to default
The above are not the complete list; I have been working on this for a couple weeks, and those are the things off the top of my head.
I have seen many others post about similar issues, if not the same issue, and the problems continue or it's claimed that the latest patch fixes things. I'm wondering if maybe I have missed a resolution. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!
I try to fulfill the PFD-form, but the text, which i type in one of fields, is copied automatically to all the fields. For instance, I enter 23.01.18 in the first field for date, and this text appears in all the fields from beginning to end: 23.01.18, 23.01.18,23.01.18 and so on. How to fix this problem?
I am unable to print my pdf documents from Adobe Reader. They print fine when I open them with Microsoft Edge. This just started today.
I have Adobe Reader installed in my IMac.
I would like to download the Hawaii State Tax Collector revised 2017 fillable forms into my Adobe Reader,
What must I do to be able to download them. Whenever I am in the Hawaii State Tax website I would go
to the site that has those forms (G45 fillable form) I am met with long page of cautions, that says I would
have to have Adobe Reader to open or download.
Since I already have the latest version in my system, can someone walk me through the necessary steps
to obtain my objective.
Thanks,
Hernando.
Just as the title says, I can download PDFs from the internet or emails and view them just fine. If I download the PDF to my desktop, I cannot open it onto my computer for viewing at all. The PDFs still exist, as I can send them to others.
Any idea what could be going on? I have a strong feeling it is user error on my part. lol
Whenever I open an PDF File I get the following message:
Adobe Resource Synchronizer wants to use your confidential information stored in "V3.service.acrobat.com" in your keychain. to allow this enter the "login" keychain password. There is then a box to add the password and then three boxes where I would choose one and they are "Always Allow", "Deny", and "Allow".
I have entered my Adobe Password and it is not accepted so I have no idea of where to find the correct password or how to get the message stopped. Even if I check "Deny" it seems to make no difference as I am still able to open the file.
Hope someone can give me the answer as it is a pain in the next to keep getting this message.
Today I opened some civil drawings on Google Chrome, downloaded them to import into my Take-Off program and when I opened it up in the program the wording formatting messed up. Thinking it was my takeoff program I tried other projects I was working on, same issue. So I started viewing PDF's using the DC program and Architectural drawings are the only PDF's that have this formatting issue. Just updated DC this morning and I can't find anything on other parts of the forum regarding a possible fix.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 18.009.20050
If anyone has any recommendations on fixing this, please let me know.
Hi, Just wondering if anyone else has this problem or any idea of how to solve it - I have been working on a PDF document for a few weeks and adding comments to it. Before today, these comments have saved successfully each time I save the document, and then I am able to resume working on the document and adding changes the next day. My computer had many updates last night and today, and now I am not able to add comments to my PDF anymore.
This message appears when I open the document 'This document enabled extended features in Adobe Acrobat Reader. The document has been changed since it was created and use of extended features is no longer available. Please contact hte author for the original version of this document'.
I then checked to see if I could save comments on the original PDF, reopen it, and add more comments, in order to finish my work by using two separate PDFs, but this didn't work. It seems that once I save and exit the PDF, the comments I made are saved, but I can no longer edit that PDF when I reopen it.
I'd appreciate any assistance at all - it's driving me crazy!!
Thank you!
I' trying to view a document that is pdf. But i keep getting this error message.
Cannot display PDF
(59301_67005_FdChanges_SB.pdf is of invalid format)
I've removed it and tried it again and it still does it.
I'm going to use it in the enterprise. However, we will not distribute it. Each person will access the site and download it. If so, is it free? Is it possible to apply for distribution separately?
What the hell is going on adobe acrobact reder....? I cant open some big files....... ios 11 .2.2
When pressing the button to update the certificates from European Union, Adobe Reader says something like "certificates have been updated", but not all CA certifcates included in EUTL can be used to verifiy signed PDF documents.
We verified this by parsing http://trustlist.adobe.com/eutl12.acrobatsecuritysettings, which dosn't include all certificates currently in the EUTL.
How often are the certificates updated ?

Ramin
I have been working on this all night, I have a new printer - Brother HLL5200DWT. I am trying to set up the printer to print mixed documents as I have to prepare legal documents. All of the instructions for this is for Windows or Mac. I have a Chromebook. This is driving me nuts. If anyone can give me some advice how to set this up, it would be appreciated.
