After 11.0.10 update Save as gives the error "there was a problem reading this document (21)"

We have some PDF reports that are generated from Microsoft Dynamcs AX.

When we try to "Save as" we get an error.

The client PCs that have Reader 11.0.08 do not have any problems.

The PCs that have Reader 11.0.10 give the following messages on save as:

"The document could not be saved. There was a problem reading this document (21)"

when I click OK to that error I get "Out of memory error"

I read that holding down CTRL when clicking OK would give additional information, and it told me this: "This direct object already has a container"

No older versions of Reader have had any problems with these same PDF files.

Adobe reader prints multiple copies of documents in wrong order: 11 22 33 instead of 123 123

When printing multiple copies of the same document, the print output is always Page 1 stacked together, the Page 2 stacked together, etc. Example: Print 5 copies of a 3 page document, it comes out as 11111 22222 33333 instead of 12345 12345 12345   This has been the case with Read 8 thru 11 and also DC

Adobe Acrobat Reader DC hangs in Windows 2012 R2

I have a lot of problems with Adobe Acrobat DC and RDP Connections in Windows Server 2012 R2. The main problem is that working with Adobe freezes and does not let it close, having to force the program close from the task manager.

I have tried several hotfix but none of them worked:

- Create the folders ToolsSearchCacheRdr and ToolsSearchCacheAcro.

- Change user, same problems.

- Change all options in preferences (disable protected view, etc).

- Disable protected mode in regedit.

- Disable plugins.

- Update Windows and all my drivers.

- Disable antivirus.

Many changes and tests and Reader  is still freezing.

Is there any solution for these types of problems in 2012 R2 RDP?

Error with deleting PDFs open in Preview Pane only on shared network drives

I have a problem within Windows Explorer, I have folder open with say a few dozen PDFs. I have the preview pane open so I can tell what was on the selected pdf file without opening it fully. After determining if I need it or not, I would go to delete the file. However, with the file selected and preview pane on, you cannot delete the file and gives an error message saying the file is already open and cannot delete.

I have found this occurs on users with Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 machines in my workplace with various versions of Adobe Reader and Acrobat. The major versions being Acrobat 9-10, Reader DC 15. Also only on occurs on shared network drives, local hard drives do not have the issue.

Also, I have installed another PDF viewer and do not have the same issue if I set it to the default PDF viewer. Leads me to believe the problem is with Adobe programs and not Windows. I would like to keep using Adobe since I have many licenses of Acrobat. Disabling the preview pane is not an option for my end users since the quantity of PDFs they have go through in a day is quite high.

Please advise.

When I open Adobe Reader DC  it comes up at the start of the C Drive Folder(My programmes folder)   with all the sub folders below.

I have my disk partition into F & G    for Data files.

In  e.g. Excel I can specify  in Options to   Open in F Drive   rather than go to the C programmes Folder then scroll down to F or G  and subsequent relevant folder then file.

I have not been able to find a way to set up Adobe Reader Dc to do this.  Can someone advise me how to do this.?

System Info.

Windows 10 Anniversary Update 64 Bit   Laptop.    This morning I updated Adobe Reader DC to   20039 as prompted.

Thanks

Neil

Setting default zoom to 100%

Reader is broken. None of the "settings" to default to 100% view actually work. And that is just one of the buggy symptoms.

Adobe have made a real pig's ear of this version.  I expect that this is Adobe's way to encourage users to move from a deteriorating (but face it - free) software to an expensive version.

Can we have a response from Adobe?  Are they are going to fix this problem?

Discolored Background Correction

I need to rollout 2 settings under Print -> Advanced to around 450 PCs, "Let Printer Determine Colors" and "Discolored Background Correction".  I can find the first setting in the registry but even after trawling through a few thousand lines in a ProcessMonitor capture I can't see anything for the Discolored Background Correction.

Does anyone know what registry key this setting changes?

Thanks

pic04483.gif

I already removed Adobe Acrobat Reader fully and reinstalled it but this didn't make a difference.

Does somebody have a idea how to fix this?

Auto open linked PDF on second monitor

$

Morning!

I am using Acrobat Reader DC, and I have a PDF with links to other PDF files. In Acrobat Pro, the linked PDF will automatically open on the second monitor, but I have been unable to figure out how to do this with DC.  I unchecked Open Cross Document Links in the Same Window in Preferences/Documents/Open Settings, and I am able to drag the linked document to the second screen.  I also set DC to Restore Previous View when reopening a document, and that will cause documents I have already opened and dragged to the second screen to open there the next time I view them.  However, is there some way to set preferences to they automatically open on the second screen, without having to open every linked document?

If it was just a few links on a single page, it wouldn't concern me, but this is an extensive document with many links, and it will be sent to others for review.  I'd like to make it as painless as possible.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Application unable to Start correctly (0xc0000022)

I am using the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader on Windows 8.1.  I have downloaded and am working on various tax forms.  Every time I open the Reader, or open or save an individual file, I get this Windows Application Error, “The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000022). Click OK to close the application”.

I have re installed the reader several times and have used the “adobe eraser” to clean out old files.  I have tried the “repair” features.  None have helped.  However, despite the error message, the PDF files usually will open or "save" after several clicks but I can't depend on this.  Can you help?

Acrobat Reader DC stopped working

Hi, Acrobat Reader DC has stopped working at my computer (Macbook Air). What do I do? The program went down and after that I wasn't able to open any pdf-files. I don't get an error message, it just blinks as if it's about to open but then nothing happens. Have restarted the computer and reinstalled the program several times and updated to Mac OS Sierra, but nothing works.
