Hi! I am going to ask my question by stating an account of the facts of this case.
A client sent me a .pdf file including text and some charts. When I saw the chart in my computer, it seemed incomplete. So I sent back the file to my client and asked him whether the chart was incomplete. He answered back stating that the chart was OK.
So I printed the file (which had to be filed before a government agency) and, after having filed it, I sent a copy to my client. Promptly after receiving the copy, my client informed me that the chart was actually incomplete! He recalled my previous contact about the chart but informed me that the chart he saw on his computer differed from the chart I had printed. He further sent me another .pdf file that only included the chart and now I can see it complete.
I also want to remark that the chart appeared as incomplete not only in my PC but also in other colleagues' PCs. The text was in English but, since it came from Japan, the Reader prompted me to download Japanese fonts. I tried to do it, but the installation failed.
I am actually using Adobe Reader 9 (version 9.5.4). My PC is running Windows XP Service Pack 3. The CPU is a Celeron 430 @ 1.8 Ghz, 1,49 GB of RAM memory.
Do have an idea of what could have happened? This is the first time this happens to me, and I print this type of documents (including text, charts, drawings) all the time.
I would certainly appreciate any comments.
