Dell Vostro 400 desktop. Windows XP Pro 32 SP3, 3GB Ram
Received message that Adobe Reader had to close and asked if I wanted to send report to Microsoft and I did. Additional information indicated I needed to upgrade reader from Reader 10 to 11. I downloaded the installer and it appeared to install. However, it does not appear in my programs. I thought perhaps I needed to uninstall Reader 10 and try again. Again it failed although the screen said, Installation Successful. I tried this with anti virus both off and on, tried safe mode, No success. I switched user and tried again, no success. I restored computer to an earlier day, no success.
Contacted Dell software solutions who also tried but failed and installed Foxit PDF Reader so that I could view PDF files. Any help? Install does not complete itself regardless of download or attempting to install from Reader 9 from my Photoshop Elements installation disk
