My Reader (free version 10.1.x) where x = at least 3 (not sure which now as it won't launch!), is either not launching at all, or not opening PDF files downloaded or received in mail. I wish to uninstall, and then re-install the application. When I use Windows Vista-64 standard uninstall procedure, I get a warning about the a program that wants to run on my computer, but the identification is unknown. I'm not sure if it is some virus/attack, or, legitimately Adobe. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know if Adobe correctly identifies itself when it starts up the Uninstall procedure?
I have read that many have had problems with incomplete Uninstalls of Adobe Reader, and there is an Adobe Labs tool to cleanup. Does the uninstall have to be executed before using that tool, or will the tool itself do the complete uninstall? Thanks.
