I have been assigned the task of making sure all our 900+ computers are fully updated with Windows and 3rd party software, ie. Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Java etc. I have no idea what all versions of Adobe Reader we have on our network, but was wondering if Adobe made a standalone update server that I can get all Adobe product updates downloaded and then distributed to all our computers. Somewhat identical to Microsoft WSUS for Windows Updates. I have signed up to redistribute the Reader and Flash files, but wanted to make it a little more automated, where the computers look to our internal server instead of Adobe's server for its updates.
I know Reader has the new feature to allow Adobe to automatically update it, but we have many uneducated users in our company that don't realize they shouldn't install Google Chrome or McAfee Security Scan when they get these updates.
Any input is appreciated.
Thanks,
Leigh
