I have the newest version of Adobe Reader (11.0.0.2), Chrome (25.0.1364.99), and Firefox (3.6.3), and Mac OS X (10.8.2). I am attempting to get either Firefox or Chrome to view PDF's through the browser. I have gone to half a dozen sites that tell me to open Adobe Reader>Preferences>Internet but there is no checkbox for view PDF's in browser. I have gone to another half dozen sites that tell me to go to chrome://plugins but the Adobe Reader plugin is missing. Same with Firefox, I go to Tools>Addons>Plugins but there is no Adobe Reader to be found. I tired installing version 10 of Adobe Reader just in case the newest version is "too new" but when I did the Adobe>Preferences>Interenet had a check box for View PDF's Through Browser that was unclickable (greyed out). I have no idea what to do about this. The plugin is in my Mac HD>Library>Internet Plug-ins. Please help, I don't want to have to buy a Windows computer JUST to be able to view the PDF's through a browser.
