Acrobat Reader DC Installation Trouble on PC Windows 7
Having trouble installing Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on a PC running Windows 7 professional. We had a previous version of Acrobat Reader installed on this computer, however it is no longer accessible.
When trying to install the Acrobat Reader DC program, the install bar progress stops at 90% and an error message pops up saying:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "AcroRead.msi" in the box below."
With this pop up there are 3 choices: Try Again, Cancel, or Browse.
Clicking Try Again brings up the same error message.
Clicking Browse takes me to a folder C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Setup\***********\AcroRead.msi
The ******** is a temporary folder ID on my computer
Clicking Cancel brings up a message that says "Adobe Acrobat Reader DC: Newer version already installed."
When I look in my Control Panel and try to uninstall any previous versions of Acrobat Reader, it is showing Acrobat Reader XI 11.0.13 in the list of installed programs and when I attempt to uninstall, I get the Windows Installer error message:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click OK to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package "AcroRead.msi" in the box below."
Not sure where to go from here. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

My work is blank, not saved
I downloaded a PDF worksheet from my college website. I filled out the form and saved it. I then uploaded the form on the college website. When my professor opened the form, it was blank. I went back to the form on my computer, it is also blank. I have 11 assignments that are all showing up blank. Does anyone know what could have happened or if it's possible to get my assignments back?
Digital ID - configuration required
I use several forms that were created in Adobe Pro and have signature fields. The forms are completed by other people outside of our organization, then emailed to us for signature. For the past 24 months, the signer has been able to touch the signature field, choose their signature, type their password, and sign the document. All of this was completed in Adobe Reader DC. Starting yesterday, when the signer touches the signature field, a box pops up indicating that a Digital ID Configuration Required. If you touch "Configure Digital ID," you then have to search for the signer's signature file, enter the signers password, then select the signature file again, and then enter the password again to be able to sign.
If I open Acrobat Reader DC and get into signatures, Adobe can "find" the signature files. If I open a PDF file in Reader DC, I have the problem stated above - it seems like the program no longer "sees" all of the signature files that it used to see, and which are still there.
How can this be corrected ASAP?
download

[MAJOR BUG] Acrobat Pro DC hangs for ~10 seconds upon opening PDF
MACHINES:
(1) Desktop, i5-6600k, 256GB SSD, 16gb RAM -- Windows 10
(2) Laptop, i7-5500U, 256GB SSD -- Windows 10
I have been using Acrobat Pro DC since it first came out with no such problems. The problem started about a week ago, and it is happening both on my desktop and my laptop. When I click to open a PDF from my hard drive, Acrobat Pro's CPU usage jumps to 100%, and the machine hangs for about 10 seconds. This problem is also happening on my laptop.
Obviously, my hardware is not the issue. This never happened with Acrobat until about a week ago. I just tested opening 15+ consecutive PDF files in Chrome, Edge, and SumatraPDF and they all open instantly, like Acrobat used to. As part of my job, I am constantly opening and closing PDFs, so adding 10 seconds 100 times per day is completely unacceptable.
I have tried all the online solutions regarding security preferences, making sure my "general" preferences are configured a certain way, and I have tried using the Acrobat Cleaner to completely uninstall and reinstall Acrobat Pro DC. The only thing that seemed to help was the complete uninstall and reinstall. Once I did that, I tested Acrobat by opening 15+ consecutive PDF files as fast as I could click and IT WORKED!! I thought I found the solution. But literally one hour later, the bug is back. Except now, it does NOT hang on the FIRST document opened. It hangs on all subsequent PDFs, regardless of the time interval between opening, as long as there is already a PDF open in Acrobat.
PLEASE HELP!!
auto forms feature is not working
The Adobe Acrobat DC could not create a new PDF form error appears. The same form was converted instantly in prior version of PDF.
Acrobat Reader error
Hello, I have a problem with my Adobe Acrobat Reader DC on my laptop, it starts up and runs only to develop a problem that causes the reader to stop working and it will tell me if a solution is available which I know will be never.
My question is, can someone tell me how I can fix this issue or is it a lost cause?
I have uninstalled and reinstalled this program several times and I even repaired it several more times and it still does it every time I open it.
Can anyone help me?
Thank You...

Adobe Classic Build 279 - use shared printer...
Hello together!
Since yesterday I've a client system which use the newest build (DC1500630279) of Adobe Reader Classic and have the following problem:
You can choose every printer on the printing dialog but you get strange results:
1. choose a different shared printer (not the default printer which is also a shared one)
--> you can't set any printer options and the preview doesn't refresh
--> if you print with these Printers you get an output to your default Printer
2. choose a local printer (as example: FreePDF)
--> all is working fine
This effect will only happens with the Adobe Reader (Microsoft Word and other are working fine).
I try to reinstall but I can't simulate this problem with another account on this system.
System:
Microsoft Windows 1607
Anyone an idea?
Thanks a lot

Unable to delete temporary files
I am running Acrobat Reader 11.0.0 in a XenApp 6.5 Environment on Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. We have recently started using Mandatory profiles and the option set to delete cached profiles on logoff. We have started noticing that some of the profiles are not being deleted because of files that are locked by the system. The files are named Z@*.tmp. I have done some research into the issue and have found an article on your website that mentions this issue specifically:
Please note this article is dated 11/2011 and seems to refer only to XP, NT, and 2003 server. Also at the bottom of the article it states the following:
Following our testing we have discovered that the issue does not occur in Windows 7, or Windows 2008 Server. It seems that the updated versions of Windows provide a solution to this issue. We would therefore recommend updating your OS if possible.
I have found that this is not that case and this issue seems to remain, at least in my configuration.

Acrobat DC - Unable to read memory
I scanned three separate documents as I have numerous times in the past, however, this time, I received the following error message when I tried to access the PDF File: (I could see the file but then received the error message and was basically kicked out of the Documents.
I am running WIndows 8.1 64 bit
Error Message Received on opening each of the three documents:
"AcroMissingCompWClass at 0x586e525c referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read."
Appreciate any assistance on this. I actually removed and re-installed the application and still receive theerror message.
DDE Server Window:AcroRd.exe - Application Error
Hi running Windows 8.1 and problem only occurred recently. When opening a PDF in Acrobat Reader DC get the following error message:
The instruction at 0x5975525c referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read. Click on OK to terminate the program.
Thus whilst the PDF is opened the above error message prevents the document from being read. I have tried repairing ADOBE reader and uninstalling and reinstalling but the same error persists.
Any ideas gratefully received
Thanks

How do I remove password protection from documents I have permission to view?
My insurance company is sending me documents & billing notices that require I enter a password to view them. Obviously, I know the password, but it's time consuming to use it each time. Is there a way to remove the password requirement on Reader DC for documents that are sent to me?
2-in-1 pages and scaling up at the same time
I am used to print 2 pages in 1 and at the same time scaling pages up so that i get the biggest part of the page covered with letters instead of white page margins. The new version of Acrobat reader doesn't seem to allow me to do these two actions simultaneously, as it seems to allow scaling only single pages. Is there a solution to this issue?

Fill and Sign - CAnnot Save - Returns Unknown error
Acrobat Reader DC Version 2015.017.20053
Windows 10 Pro 10.0.14393 Build 14393
I see that there are a few issues pertaining to fill and sign, but most indicate not being able to do so at all.
My issue is somewhat different in that I can go through the entire process of filling and signing the document, but when I try and Save or Save as, Acrobat Reader DC returns an error: "The operation failed because Adobe Acrobat DC encountered an unknown error"
If one opens the Fill and Sign option and tries to save without making any additions, amendments or signatures, it does not encounter the issue and will save the document quite happily. The moment one enters any text or a signature and attempts to save, it returns the above error.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program in its entirety (this includes removing and cleaning up the registry and folders prior to reinstalling). I attempted repairing the installation. All to no avail.
Edited to add: I have tested this version of Adobe Reader DC on a pre-Anniversary Update Version of Windows 10 Pro and on a Windows 7 Ultimate platform with exactly the same issues. It is clear that the problem is with the latest iteration of Adobe Reader DC and not with the platform that it is running on.
