I just installed Acrobat Reader 9 and I am getting this error message. I shut down the computer to no avail. I am not able to read any pdf files. Any help is appreciated.

Reader 10.1 "Failed to load an application resource"
Hi
I upgraded from Reader X (10) to 10.1. Since then every time I start it, whether as a standalone or plug-in, I get one or more instances of an error message which says "There was an error during initialization. Failed to load an application resource (internal error)." I also note that there is no plug-ins menu.
This is getting annoying, to say the least. I am running Windows Vista SP2. Googling produced nothing relevant.
Does anyone have any ideas?

PDF in-browser will not show attachments panel
Hi. I'm working with a PDF with attachments. I created it to open with the attachments panel visibile. It works fine except for in Chrome, it shows the PDF in-browser but the attachments panel is not visible. This is causing some problems for our site users.
What is the solution here. I'm working my IT department to update the .htaccess file to force all PDF files to download, but this seems like an overly complex solution.
Why won't the attachment panel just show up in Chrome?

Reader doesn't post
I can't seem to get the pdf up-it comes up blank and sends a message saying 0 memory-I know the computer has plenty-sny thought as to why?

Unable to download Adobe Reader (Free version)
I use Windows 8. When I finished downloaded the Adobe Reader XI, a message shown on the screen" MAPIR.dll is missing from the computer. Please install again the program". No way I can stall this program after many trials. Please help.

Adobe Reader XI - Save button not enabled in Firefox 19, 20, 21
This problem only seems to occur in Firefox. IE9 and Chrome 20+ seem to behave properly. We have customers complaining that they are having a difficult time figuring out how to save PDF files from our scientific research web application. While, cntrl-shift-s and File->Save As are still available to them, they are confused that the "Save" icon that appears on the reader is greyed out.
I had read the following blog post concerning the problem involving URLs with over 259 characters.

While our URLs are long and they are cgi-based in format, they didn't quite make it to 259 characters.
I took our code base and created a very short path-based URL, removing special characters, such as periods and hyphens from the file name, and making sure that the tail of the URL contained the name of the pdf file, and the save icon was still greyed out.
Installing Adobe Reader 9.5, and 10.0.4 seemed to exhibit the same behavior in Firefox.
Are there currently any known issues with how Adobe Reader behaves with Firefox?
Are there any possible work-arounds?

Reader XI won't run; closes after 2 seconds
I upgraded to XI (11.0.3) and it just won't run for more than 2 seconds.
Same behavior whether I run it directly or try to open a PDF file.
I have searched on forums, google, support, but nothing suggested works.
I have Windows 7 64-bit
I do not have cloud products
I tried the acrobate clean up and reinstalling
I tried repairing the install
I've restarted several times
Windows does recognize PDF files as Acrobat files (it tries to open them what that program).
Reader was working 2 days ago before I upgraded
I upgraded because I couldn't see my bill on Chase.com; I did after the upgrade but once I saved it, it wouldn't open.
Once I saw an error about EULA stopped working but nothing after that.
Acrobat screen opens then closes after 2 or 3 seconds.

WHY DOES ADOBE NEED SO MANY UPDATES?!!!!!
Why the heck does adobe reader need to many ******** updates every ******** week!!!
I swear, as a student i have enough active programs already, i don't need more porgrams to ******** restart my computer everyday just because your stable platform of adobe sucks. The worst part about adobe's updates, are the following:
1) it is huge UPDATES (30mbs+), if I were to download the adobe reader from your site right now, it is less than the update package. Hows does that even make sense.
2) It feels the need to be important and restart your computer every time it updates.
3) Why does Adobe Reader even need so many updates, if there is constant client problems, than I think you should release a stable client all at once.
I will not use this PDF reader ever again. There is better PDF readers out there, that don't waste people's time on updates.
p.s. mounting a complain on this site also sucks. Has anyone tried to click on the product feedback page? it is like they don't want you to complain about their products.

How do I migrate Adobe Acrobat Pro X from my dying laptop to a new one?
My laptop recently blue-screen on me and I lost my startup files ater my hard drive started to make some high-pitched screeching noise. I was able able to do a restore and recovery but I promptly purchased a replacement laptop. Now I have a problem. How do I migrate the Adobe software to my new laptop. The program was a download and I don't have a program CD.

Adobe reader 11 cannot open in protected mode due to incompatibilty with your system configuration
I have deployed Adobe reader 11 is our IT Enviorment using SCCM 2012 and the following warning Adobe reader cannot open in protected mode due to incompatibilty with your system configuration. Would you like to open Adobe reader with Protected Mode disabled is being displayed. When tried opening PDF files. Is there any way to isolate the cause without needing to disable the protected mode without needing to disable protected mode from Adobe reader settings.

How can you copy form data from an online PDF, in your browser?
Just a quick query, I've recently filled out an online application and I filled this out on an online PDF form. This is the form link:

How can I copy the data I typed into this form, to a word document for example? Or is there any way I can save this as a PDF with all the data in the form, to send it as an email?
I've downloaded the form, but it just shows blank pages with no fields filled.

Adobe XL crashing
I downloaded the updated Adobe XL a few days ago, and it continues to crash. Everytime I open a .pdf from my desktop I get this error: "Adobe Reader has stopped working," and it closes. I've tried to run the patch available on this site and the "repair" tool from my computer, and neither will load/process. I also uninstalled and reinstalled Reader to no avail. I'm running Windows 7. I can look at .pdfs in the Chrome browser, but that's it. Would appreciate your suggestions.
